An attack against the Dallas Police Force early this morning has so far evolved into a standoff in Hutchins, Texas. While police believe there are up to four suspects, only one has been identified; a James Boulware who claims the police “took his child” and “accused him of being a terrorist.”
Boulware also told negotiators on the scene that he had been injured in the round of shooting that took place in Hutchins and that his vehicle, an armored van, is rigged with explosives in case the police get too close. The Dallas Police chief, David Brown, urges civilians to stay away from the Cedars neighborhood for the time being.
